Finished wall (almost)

Got something to write about again. The first bales went up last week (20 August). The previous weekend we emptied out the garage and shifted the bales into the new house. This was just under a third of the total bales and should be enough to do the girls bedrooms on the eastern side and the hallway. Pim had a go baling with the builders on friday and together we did some more over the weekend.

    Hi, we've bought land near Greytown and are considering building in straw bale. We're at the "talk to architects" stage and are caught up in conflicting advice about earth insulation versus straw bale. We were wondering if it would be possible to have a look at the house you are bilding, or maybe even catch up and have a chat with you ? It would be wonderful to talk to someone who is much further through the process than we are.
